A little bit about me and my work.
I started making jewellery in 2004. I was always looking for new ideas and techniques and early in 2006 stumbled across the world of lampwork beadmaking. The idea of being able to melt glass and form it into my own designs seemed amazing and the fact that I could buy the equipment to do this at home captivated my interest immediately. I invested in a basic hothead torch and starter set of glass and tools. Two months later I took my first course after which I upgraded to a minor torch and oxygen convertor.Three years later and lampwork is something of an obsession as it seems to be for virtually everyone who ventures into the fascinating world of glass.
I now work fulltime making glass beads and jewellery. I also teach lampwork beadmaking in my studio at home.
I have taken courses with a number of beadmakers including Julie Ann Denton and Kate Drew Wilkinson and I am a member of British Lampwork and GBUK. I am a Self Representing Artist.
I live in Somerset with my husband, two daughters, three cats and two chickens.
